September Awareness Campaigns

Attendance Awareness Month
According to their site, “Attendance Works is a national and state initiative that promotes better policy and practice around school attendance. We promote tracking chronic absence data for each student beginning in kindergarten, or ideally earlier, and partnering with families and community agencies to intervene when poor attendance is a problem for students or schools.”

Their 5th annual campaign focuses on student engagement. A great collection of webinars, printables and social media tools can be found on their site. Promotional materials can be found here.

National Suicide Prevention Week, September 10-16
