Are you searching for a resource to help your students recognize warning signs of violence or suicide? This week I am sharing a FREE online program provided by Sandy Hook Promise: Say Something.

Say Something Week is planned for October 16-20, 2017. According to the site, Say Something teaches students, grades 6-12, how to look for warning signs, signals and threats, especially in social media, from a peer who might be planning to hurt themselves or someone else and to say something to a trusted adult to get help and save a life.”

The Say Something Week Planning Guide provides clear outlines of activities that could be implemented in your school. They provide letters, tips, social media posts and more. An online digital interactive training platform will be released in early October to anyone who has signed-up for the program.

For resources to plan for the entire month of October, see October Planning Resources.
